Location: London (33 Margaret Street, W1G 0JD) or Manchester (12 Booth Street, M2 4AW) • Salary: £23,000 – £24,000 (DOE and location) + £1,000 sign on bonus • Role title: Apprentice Economist • Start Date: Monday 7th September 2026
About the team
The remit of the Economics team is to lead on work in the field of property, planning and economics. The team collaborates with other Savills teams, for example the Savills Research team, to jointly develop areas of research that raise the company’s profile. The team’s work includes:
- Preparing and influencing economic, planning, property, regeneration, and infrastructure development strategy, policy and research at national, sub-regional and local levels
- Establishing the economic, financial and business cases for projects
- Carrying out social and economic impact assessments
- Developing new business opportunities
Day to day duties
Working with colleagues on research, analysis and report writing to deliver projects you will:
- Undertake economic, social and market research and analysis
- Take responsibility for elements of projects
- Help develop creative and original solutions
- Contribute to writing reports, interpreting data and making clear and relevant recommendations
- Contribute to and take part in presentations at meetings
- Communicate and negotiate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Maintain an awareness of market conditions and government policies

Training
You will complete the Level 6 Professional Economist Apprenticeship, leading to a BSc in Professional Economics. On-the-job training is provided to ensure all required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully. We will provide the full Savills training programme including mandatory health and safety and office training, as well as specific training relevant to your role. We ensure that your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is current and that all staff are up to date with changes to legislation and business needs.

Working Week
Five full days in the office, 9:00am to 5:30pm. One of these days each week will be dedicated to apprenticeship studies.
Assessment for this role

- Online Assessment – SHL (will be sent on application completion and must be completed by 12pm on Monday 16th February)
- Screening Call & Presentation (between Monday 9th March – Friday 13th March)
- Assessment Centre & Interview (Thursday 2nd April) in London Head Office (33 Margaret Street, London, W1G 0JD)
Entry requirements
GCSE English and Maths at Level 4 (Grade C) or above is mandatory. You may not apply if you are currently studying for or already have a degree. You will also need a minimum of 120 UCAS points. You must be eligible to live, work and remain in the UK, within 1 hour’s commute of the office you are applying to.
