Kinnordy Estate is entering an exciting new chapter with a change in farming policy, and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Working Farm Manager to lead the organic livestock farming operations on this beautiful upland estate. The successful applicant will be responsible for day-to-day management of the livestock enterprises, implementing the estate’s new policy direction, and ensuring high standards of animal welfare and productivity. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent practical and organisational skills and a proactive approach.

About the Farm:

  • 500 cross and 900 Blackface ewes
  • 30 suckler cows
  • Expansive, scenic land with a strong focus on quality livestock and sustainable practices
  • Hill and upland farm in the Angus Glens complemented by separate lowground farms near Kirriemuir, Angus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee flock and herd health, lambing, calving, breeding, nutrition and grazing management
  • Maintain compliance with highest standards of animal welfare and environmental standards
  • Maintain organic certification compliance
  • Manage contractors effectively
  • Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting
