Within Environment and Infrastructure sits Savills' Health & Social Impact Assessment Team, one of the UK's leading specialist practices focused on the relationship between development, infrastructure and human health. Our team works across major infrastructure projects, strategic land, new settlements, urban regeneration and housing developments, helping clients understand and enhance the health, wellbeing and social value outcomes of their projects.

We are recognised for combining robust public health evidence with practical planning expertise, delivering Health Intelligence, Health Impact Assessments (HIAs), Equality Impact Assessments (EqIAs), Health Needs Assessments and wider health and social value strategies that influence project design, support planning applications and help create healthier places.

Our work extends beyond mitigating impacts; we help clients identify opportunities at an early enough stage to build in healthy urban design, geared to improve physical health, mental wellbeing, social cohesion, inclusion, resilience and quality of life.

Working alongside planners, environmental specialists, economists and engineers across Savills Earth, we provide genuinely multidisciplinary advice on some of the UK's most significant development and infrastructure projects. The team has developed an excellent reputation for innovation, technical quality and thought leadership, helping shape emerging best practice in healthy placemaking, sustainable development and infrastructure planning.

Working alongside internationally recognised experts in HIA, public health, planning and sustainability, you will gain hands‑on experience across a diverse portfolio of major infrastructure, development and regeneration projects. Through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across Savills' UK office network, you will engage with clients, stakeholders and decision‑makers, building the skills, knowledge and professional network needed to become a future leader in the field while making a tangible difference to places and people across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Research & Evidence Gathering: Undertake health baseline, analyse demographic and public health data, and review policy to inform HIA and healthy placemaking strategies.
• Technical Development: Build expertise in HIA, Health Intelligence, Equality Impact Assessment (EqIA) and wider health and sustainability appraisal methodologies.
• Assessment & Project Delivery: Support the preparation and delivery of high-quality HIAs, health evidence reviews and planning submissions, helping clients understand and maximise health and wellbeing outcomes.
• Project Management: Assist with the management of project programmes, budgets and deliverables, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard under the guidance of senior consultants.
• Business Development: Contribute to proposals, fee submissions and thought leadership activities that support the growth of Savills' health and impact advisory services.
• Stakeholder & Client Engagement: Participate in client, local authority, public health and stakeholder meetings, helping to communicate health evidence and assessment findings.

• Technical & Professional Knowledge - Demonstrate a strong foundational knowledge and understanding of the profession you are training within, the qualification you are completing, and the role you are undertaking. Enrol and begin active progress towards your qualification, understanding the competencies/KSBs required and maintain an up-to-date record of experience. Complete all required induction training (including mandatory training on MyLearning).

As a graduate, you'll also have regular opportunities to attend technical, business skills and personal development activities - including conferences, courses, lectures, networking, mock assessments, revision sessions and social events - which compliment both your practical experience and meet the theoretical requirements of your ISEP. You will have a sustainability mentor who supports and guides you throughout the two year training programme. They will discuss your training and experience needs at regular progress reviews, ensuring you receive the support you require.
