Role title: Graduate Surveyor – Affordable Housing (September 2027 start)

Salary: London: £30,000 and £1,500 sign on bonus

Our highly experienced team of affordable housing experts at Savills provide innovative solutions to meet all of our clients' housing challenges and opportunities. We work with clients to enable their organisations to evolve and thrive in a rapidly changing industry. The nationwide team of over 100 experts provide an extensive range of services to established and new for-profit providers of affordable housing, local authorities, registered social landlords (housing associations), investors, developers, banks and governing bodies.

About this role:

ROTATIONS

The affordable housing rotation may include rotations within the following teams:

  • General Consultancy - Asset management, Stock rationalisation
  • Development and Regeneration - Development appraisal & valuations, Project management
  • Surveying and Procurement - Surveying, Delivery of large projects
  • Valuation - Loan security valuations, Buy/sell site advice
  • Treasury and Debt Advisory - Financial consultancy, Fund raising/advice

The assessment process for this role:

  • CV and Question – Applications close at 11.59pm on 19th October 2026
  • Online Assessment – SHL (will be sent on application completion and will need to be completed by 12pm on 20th October 2026)
  • Screening Calls for Shortlisted Candidates – Take place in November
  • Assessment Centre – 16th November 2026 (London, Margaret Street)
  • Panel Interview – 23rd November 2026 (London, Margaret Street)

Training:

As a graduate, you'll also have regular opportunities to attend technical, business skills and personal development activities - including conferences, courses, lectures, networking, mock assessments, revision sessions and social events - which compliment both your practical experience and meet the theoretical requirements of We were awarded the Times Graduate Employer of choice for Property for the 20th year consecutively, which highlights our excellent training programme, which is bespoke for each pathway. You will have an APC supervisor and counsellor who support and guide you throughout the two year training programme. They will discuss your training and experience needs at regular progress reviews, ensuring you receive the support you require.

Once you've successfully passed your APC and become a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), you'll continue to receive training and career development opportunities. We ensure that your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is current and that all staff are fully up-to-date with changes to legislation and business needs.
