Purpose of the Role

To be a proactive and active presence and help ensure the smooth running of the shopping park. To assist with all emergency situations when they occur, liaising with Savills management and the emergency services. The role also includes providing a visible security presence to the shopping park, conducting regular patrols and handling enquiries and concerns from tenants and members of the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work the hours and shifts in accordance with conditions of employment.
  • To undertake hourly patrols of the full shopping park, car parks and service yard areas as instructed by the security manager.
  • To utilise a diester point system (where applicable) for all site patrols as instructed by the Area Security Manager.
  • To carry out any other duties in accordance with instructions issued by Security Manager or RFM.
  • To act as first point of contact to the tenants, frequently liaising with the tenants throughout each shift, whilst providing a proactive presence on the park.
  • To comply fully with the Health & Safety Policy for the shopping park.
  • To ensure that the Rules & Regulations of the shopping park, car parks and service yards are complied with at all times.
  • Ensure that all incidents are recorded in the Daily Occurrence Log and all relevant incident reports are completed.
  • Ensure that contractors arriving and working on site adhere fully to company and site H&S procedures and policies to ensure the safety of public and staff on the park.
  • Ensure that the shopping park and car parks are a safe and pleasant environment.
  • To assist with enquiries from the public and the tenants if so required.
  • To take a proactive approach to the day-to-day goings on of the park, including contractor management, defect reporting and checks of all areas of the park, maintaining regular reporting to the RFM.
  • To be aware of and abide by all rules, terms and conditions of the company.
  • Proactive management to ensure site looks pristine.
  • Complete any additional training required for the role.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Qualifications and experience:

Essential:

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity
  • 5-year checkable employment record
  • Valid and Active SIA Licence – Security Guarding or Door Supervisor
  • First Aid Qualified

Desirable:

  • CCTV SIA licence
  • Front line security experience

Working Hours - Weekends - Saturday 08:00 – 19:00 and Sunday 10:00 – 16:00
