Purpose of the Role

To support the Marketing Manager, and wider marketing team to bringing bold and creative campaigns to life.

The kind that boosts brand awareness, drives footfall, sparks retailer sales, and helps our shopping destination stand out in Newcastle's busy retail scene.

It's a hands-on, ideas-welcome role where you'll learn fast, collaborate widely, and help make people excited to visit.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Assist the Marketing Manager with the delivery of the marketing activity as outlined in the annual strategy.
  • 2. Contribute ideas and input into the creation of the marketing calendar
  • 3. Support the internal and agency team with content shoot planning, influencer visits, store launches, PR activations, photography, video shoots and events within the centre.
  • 4. Assist the Marketing team with data analysis and insights that help shape the performance and reporting
  • 5. Maintain and monitor marketing reports to track digital activity performance.
  • 6. Work with strategic partners to amplify the Eldon Square annual marketing strategy.
  • 7. Update digital communications such as maps, web content, and digital screens in line with retailer changes.
  • 8. Research and implement digital marketing tools.
  • 9. Create and develop brand assets for use on-site and across Eldon Square's digital platforms.
  • 10. Monitor and support the digital tenant Wi-Fi engagement scheme.
  • 11. Research keywords and help write articles, retailer emails and web content that boost our search visibility.
  • 12. Work closely with the Marketing Executive to liaise with retailers and help them make the most of the marketing support available.
  • 13. Ensure marketing communications and collateral follow brand guidelines and policies.
  • 14. Support cross-team collaboration in meetings and joint projects.
  • 15. Keep an eye out for exciting moments around the centre and share them across our channels.
  • 16. Any other duties as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Relevant degree: A Marketing, Communications or similar degree is ideal.
  • Google Analytics: Any experience is a bonus.
  • Word Press basics: Helpful but not essential - training is provided.
  • Microsoft 365: Confidence using Excel and Word is important.

Working Hours - 12 month fixed term contract. 37.5 hours per week, weekends and evenings when required
