Home to more than 250 retail stores showcasing a wide range of brands, alongside diverse dining options and a variety of entertainment venues, it offers the ultimate experience in shopping, dining, and leisure.

Through regular events, promotions, and a strong commitment to outstanding customer service, Lakeside Shopping Centre remains a vibrant hub for both local residents and visitors from further afield. The Marketing & Community Executive will play a key role in ensuring campaigns are engaging, community-focused, and commercially effective, supporting the Head of Marketing in brand positioning, customer experience, and stakeholder engagement.

To foster and develop long-term community relations and support between the centre and our respective local/regional communities, in line with Lakeside’s corporate responsibility strategy and the strategy of the Savills Group.

Key Outcomes
  • Delivery of the Head of Marketing’s strategy with a clear focus on digital, events, and community engagement.
  • High-quality digital presence across all channels, consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Tangible, target audience focused in-centre experiences that drive footfall and sales linking back to the marketing strategy.
  • Strong community partnerships and measurable CSR outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Digital
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to implement the centre’s annual marketing business plan.
  • Curate and publish engaging content from retailers, commercialisation partners, and community initiatives in line with target audiences.
  • Manage retailer communications, brand promotions, and digital content opportunities.
  • Support Marketing in creating marketing assets and collateral for campaigns, commercialisation, and CSR initiatives.
  • Weekend social media cover will be shared on a rotational basis between this role and other members of the marketing team.
Community & CSR
  • Build strong links with schools, colleges, and community groups through visits, presentations, and collaborative projects.
  • Support with the centre’s staff volunteering programme, tracking and reporting activity.
  • Support in chairing/ coordinating charity and CSR initiatives, ensuring alignment with the corporate responsibility strategy.
  • Foster partnerships with local organisations and networks (e.g., Chamber of Commerce, local festivals, charities).
  • Assist with reporting on community budgets and CSR achievements.
Events & Activations
  • Support Marketing in planning and delivering an annual calendar of in-centre events and activations including seasonal campaigns (Easter, Halloween, Christmas, summer holidays) with a focus on family-friendly and community-led experiences.
  • Support during events, coordinating with agencies, suppliers, and centre management.
  • Work with commercialisation partners to integrate brand activations, pop-ups, and experiential elements into the wider programme.
  • Attendance at weekend events will be agreed with the Head of Marketing.
Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceEssential:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing, digital, or community management.
  • Proven track record of delivering events and campaigns from concept through to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing (social media, website CMS, CRM).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Budget management and reporting experience.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
Desirable:
  • Industry-recognised marketing qualification (CIM or equivalent).
  • Experience in retail, leisure, hospitality, or destination marketing.
  • Knowledge of Lakeside’s local community and customer base.
  • Familiarity with creative tools (Canva, Adobe Suite) and social scheduling platforms.

Working Hours - 40hrs
Salary - Up to £31,000
