As part of the King’s Cross Estate Service Team, you will be part of the team that contributes to maintaining a welcoming, safe, and high‑quality environment that reflects the estate’s commitment to excellence. You will work collaboratively with partners, occupiers, and the wider community to ensure the area continues to thrive, delivering exceptional experiences for everyone who spends time here, whether that be occupiers or the 19 million visitors who visit the Estate.
As part of the King’s Cross Estate Service Team, you will act as ambassadors for King’s Cross, bringing our team values to life daily (Love King’s Cross, In it Together, Protect the Planet, Truth and Honest, and Keep it Real). You will contribute to maintaining a welcoming, safe, and high‑quality environment that reflects the estate’s commitment to excellence.
The Events Manager is responsible for the end‑to‑end operational planning and delivery of all estate‑wide events, activations and commercialisation activity across the King’s Cross estate, ensuring safe, compliant and high‑quality outcomes aligned to KXG strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Senior Events Experience Manager in the planning, coordination and delivery of the year‑round estate events programme in line with KXG’s Events, Enlivenment and Commercialisation strategy.
- Act as the operational lead on site, resolving logistical issues and ensuring successful delivery of all events and activations.
- Support the identification and delivery of commercialisation opportunities across the estate.
- Manage event, filming, commercialisation and brand activation enquiries for King’s Cross.
- Gather and assess relevant operational information to present viable event opportunities to KXG for consideration.
- Liaise with KXG and external agencies to support enquiry evaluation and delivery planning.
- Lead clear, consistent communication with event operators, producers, agencies, KXG and internal teams to align messaging, logistics and operational delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for retailers and commercial occupiers on all event‑related activity.
- Proactively manage communication, feedback and operational impacts through to resolution.
- Represent the events function at Retail and Building Forums, clearly communicating upcoming activity and potential impacts.
- Line manage the Assistant Events Manager, supporting induction, training and ongoing development.
- Produce pre‑ and post‑event reports and support event feasibility assessments, data analysis and feedback for KXG.
- Lead all on‑site operational delivery, including event build, activation and de‑rig.
- Coordinate logistics, equipment, service partners and internal teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
- Arrange and attend event planning and delivery meetings, including weekly operational briefings with service partners and KCES teams.
- Raise and track invoices, POs and payments for events, commercial activations and filming.
- Create, update and manage event contracts and licences, ensuring all agreements are in place.
- Own and champion health, safety, risk management and compliance across all event and commercialisation activity.
- Actively support and promote sustainability, ESG and social value initiatives across the event portfolio.
This role requires on‑site oversight of events, including some evenings and weekends, with time off in lieu provided. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities may evolve in line with the role.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety in event delivery.
- Proven experience delivering large‑scale events within complex, multi‑use environments.
- Ability to support and deliver commercialisation opportunities.
- Strong communication skills with operational teams, partners and client representatives.
- Experience managing and supporting team members.
- Available to work some weekends.
Working Hours – 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm (with flexibility for event oversight, including out‑of‑hours and weekends; time off in lieu provided).
