Purpose of the Role
The main aim of the Marketing Executive position is to support the Centre Manager & our Marketing Agency to raise awareness of Eastgate and its’ Occupiers via campaigns and events and ultimately drive the ‘right’ footfall to the destination.
The role includes a primary focus on social media and event coordination and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- contributing ideas to marketing campaigns, both for occupiers, the centre and be active is ideas in supporting the setting of the marketing strategy each year
- reviewing available data and ensuring content, social and event is relevant to the target market
- coordinating promotional activities and events
- supporting on maintaining website/App and tracking data analytics
- updating databases/managing insights app for the centre
- plan, organise and execute social media campaigns
- monitoring performance of marketing campaigns
- communicating and building relationships with stakeholders (internal and external) – wider marketing team, store teams, brand marketers etc
- working with design team on campaign messaging
- spending time talking with the retailers on their shop floor and communicating with them via email, newsletters and memorandums. This is to include orgnising and hosting occupier quarterly meetings
- deliver the marketing strategy and the measurable KPI’s
- ensuring campaign execution is implemented across all main channels in conjunction with Savills Place
- support the Retail Liaison Manager in occupier engagement and in their absence gain store performance and insight to campaigns
- report at relevant management meetings on marketing activity, footfall, event engagement and campaigns along with feedback from occupiers
- maintain good relationships with local media outlets and business partners to ensure our wider marketing activity aligns to City events
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Research, analytical and communication abilities
- Organised with excellent planning capabilities, methodical and informed
- Good analytical skills to support execution of marketing campaigns
- Communication skills: passing relevant information to the appropriate teams, stakeholders, and clients. Good communication skills are necessary to relay relevant information.
- Requires the necessary technical skill to plan an effective marketing campaign. Understanding fundamentals of CRM/data management system would be a bonus
- Customer-oriented: an ability to understand the customer and their needs is essential to being successful in this role. Knowledge of how the customers view Eastgate, and how to build trust and loyalty with customers through salient messaging and event content
- A proven ability of managing agencies and the ability to work across multi-agency briefs.
- Ability to create exciting campaigns that will drive footfall, awareness, sales and enhance dwell time for Eastgate
- Ability to use full range of Microsoft applications including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- A proven ability to manage workload commitments.
- Experience in the development of high-level reports and presentations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing to a good standard.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and confidently contribute to team meetings.
- Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to working patterns in order to respond to the demands of a retail and leisure environment.
- To be flexible in hours worked to be present for events planned. Be part of the centre duty management schedule (subject to change)
