Overview
The Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for the cleaning of Middlewood Locks Residential Site to maintain a safe and pleasant environment for our Tenants, Visitors through the monitoring of Health & Safety systems and the promotion of best practice throughout all tasks. The Cleaning Supervisor will also be responsible for the recruitment and training of all staff within this area. The Cleaning Supervisor will monitor cleaning standards including best practice as well as rota management.
Responsibilities
- To ensure all Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- To ensure all COSHH, SDS & SOPS documentation are kept in a safe and secure place in the cleaning store room & the management suite.
- To be fully versed in workforce+ cleaning compliance and that of cleaning staff also have a general understanding.
- Ensure the site is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and that standard operating procedures are being performed daily.
- To ensure staff rotas are adhered to & updating the site manager of any changes.
- Request Agency cleaning staff (Labour) cover to the line manager in advance of any holidays that have been agreed.
- Manage the initial basic training of agency cleaning staff & to undertake a basic induction on there first day of cover.
- Ensure the all areas of the site are kept safe, clean and tidy,
- To manage the weekly stock control of all cleaning materials, tools and chemicals and inform the site manager of additional stock needed.
- To check/ sign for all deliveries of cleaning stock, equipment to site.
- Grit/salt public and staff areas/ assist with flood cleanup in extreme weather conditions.
- Ensure the staff facilities/managers suite is kept clean.
- To ensure that any damaged equipment/tools is reported immediately to the Site Manager.
- To work along side security & support within the cleaning remit.
- To carry out any other reasonable request by the Site Manager.
- To carry out yearly or sooner training of cleaning operatives.
- To carry out yearly appraisals of cleaning operatives
- To carry out return to works interviews and documentation.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Candidates will be required to demonstrate the following:
- Manage & Support cleaning staff within the daily operations of the site.
- Ensure a timely response to all issues and events.
- Monitor and deliver the levels of customer satisfaction for service delivery expected at Workforce+.
- Ensure all periodic cleaning tasks are carried out to the schedule.
- Oversee Waste & Cleaning Contractors whilst on site to ensure operational delivery is monitored & report any incidents to the Site Manager.
- To take a proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation in all aspects of the job
- To ensure appropriate equipment is available for the cleaning team to carry out their role including training.
- To manage the cleaning machinery on site is in working order, signing in/out sheets have been done and report any incidents to the Site Manager.
