The predicted salary is between 14.8 - 14.8 £ per hour.

Purpose of the Role

Typically includes cleaning duties and specifically waste movements following the site segregation protocols and taking all waste to the designated waste storage area(s). Cleaning may include:

  • Dealing with waste collections.
  • 1100L bins to be taken from the carpark up in the lifts.
  • Waiting for the waste provider to empty the bins and then returning them to the carpark.
  • Checking and sweeping the balcony daily if required.
  • Checking and sweeping the front steps from ground to basement daily if required.
  • Litter picking in the car park daily and full sweeping weekly if required.
  • Cleaning and buffing front entrance black doors daily (smear free).
  • Mopping front steps if inclement weather or freezing temperatures cease operation.
  • Cleaning showers once a week (may extend to daily as directed by the client).
  • Checking staircases daily for debris and dust, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Spot cleaning stains on carpets when the vax carpet machine arrives.
  • Taking fruit to the 4th floor to assist the HK team.
  • Undertaking coffee cleaning duties as defined by the client.
  • Checking and polishing brass on main staircases, push plates, and door handles.

Waste will include:

  • Placing waste in the appropriate waste stream.
  • Cardboard collections.
  • Recycling and other non-hazardous waste.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to work independently in the cleaning tasks as inducted and trained upon.
  • Understanding H&S requirements to ensure safety at all times.
  • Timekeeping; hours are fixed.
  • To undertake cleaning duties in areas as directed by the Site.
  • Reporting maintenance issues immediately, e.g. broken equipment, defective lighting, any H&S issues.
  • Informing the Site Manager about ordering and maintaining cleaning equipment stock.
  • Cleaning and maintaining communal areas within the site, including surfaces, external area sweeping, and mopping as required.
  • Understanding and complying with all COSHH regulations.
  • Working within relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Attending training courses as identified and agreed for appropriate development.
