Purpose of the Role
The CCTV Operator is accountable to the Duty managers/Soft Services Manager for the support and delivery of security within the site, CCTV Controllers will ensure exemplary standards of security and customer service are provided to the client and visitors to the site always. You are the public face of the security team and should act with professionalism always, a can-do attitude is essential in this highly influential role.
Key Responsibilities
- To work the hours and shifts in accordance with conditions of employment.
- To monitor CCTV images of the Centre as instructed by Centre Management.
- To carry out duties in accordance with instructions issued by Centre Management.
- To comply fully with the Health & Safety Policy for the centre.
- To ensure that the requirements of the Fire regulations are strictly complied with.
- To assist with the implementation of the Centre’s Emergency Plan and Evacuation Strategy in the event of an emergency.
- To ensure that the Rules & Regulations of the Centre are complied with at all times.
- Ensure that all incidents are recorded in Incident Log.
- Ensure that contractors arriving on site adhere fully to the centre procedures for contractor management.
- Ensure that the centre is a safe and pleasant environment.
- Assist with enquiries from tenants and members the public when requested.
- To be aware of and abide by all rules, terms and conditions of the company.
- In order to comply with the Security Industry Act 2001, officers must hold an SIA Public Space Surveillance Licence and where necessary a valid SIA Security Licence.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to articulate clearly and credibly with the centre management, senior managers and all staff.
- Must have a outgoing personality and ability to communicate with the public in what is a customer focused and engaging role
- Capability to work unsupervised and take responsibility.
- Aptitude to remain calm under pressure.
- Smart appearance
- Flexible/can do attitude.
- Must be able to attend work in line with shift pattern through own transport or public transport and have ability to be flexible with shift start and finish times.
Qualifications and experience
- Essential: CCTV licence
- Front Line SIA licence
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- High level of integrity
- 5-year checkable employment record
- Qualification in First Aid at Work and AED (or willing to work towards)
Working Hours -42 Hours per week 4 on 4 off
Salary -£14.65 per hour
