Purpose of the Role
To ensure the centre is maintained in such a way that all rubbish is removed regularly and that the centre is machined washed daily, including cleaning all internal and external low level glass. To ensure that any food/liquid waste spillages and any broken glass shards are attended to quickly and cleaned as soon as possible. Customer service skills is a must as you will be dealing with guest enquires whilst working on the Plaza.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to cleaning schedules and assignment instructions
- Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to
- Grit/Salt public and staff areas/assist with flood cleanup in extreme weather conditions
- Remove Graffitt as and when required
- Work with security to assist with incidents when required
- Refuse collection from waste bins.
- Removal of broken glass, food and liquid spillages.
- Clean Public, staff toilets and communal areas.
- Removal of stains and general dirtiness of all areas front and Back of house using a floor scrubbing machine.
- Mopping of hallways, stairs in public front facing areas and staff facility areas.
- Removal of dust/debris using a commercial industrialised sweeping machine.
- Machine scrubbing of tiled areas.
- Site specific duties.
- Adhere to Adhoc tasks which will need to be dealt with in a fast, safe and efficient manner.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of COSHH
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment i.e. jetwash, gum removal,S10 and T600 machines.
- Knowledge of using compactors for general waste and bailers for cardboard packing.
- 2 years’ experience within similar role.
Working Hours - 22.5 hrs
Salary - £13.45 per hour
