Reporting into the M&E Services Operations Director, supporting the in‑house engineering business on the delivery, management and maintenance of all technical systems. Provision of safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with the latest statutory and legislative requirements. Preparation of schedules and programmes when carrying out high‑risk works. Responsible for the implementation, administration and monitoring of the guidance around electrical systems. Preparation, review and implementation of relevant permits to carry out high‑risk works.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise on all mandates, collaborating with and building relationships with specialist service partners, as required.
- Support mobilisations and provide technical guidance on all technical aspects, including dilapidation reports, technical competence assessments and assigning the correct supply chain to the specialist task.
- Deliver world‑class service and maintain effective communication with clients and internal teams.
- Collate and present accurate reports to clients, using agreed formats.
- Support technical teams at all levels with technical matters.
- Develop and maintain maintenance plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), emergency operating procedures and safe systems of work, including for specialist works such as HV switching and maintenance.
- Ensure technical support aligns with business policies and processes.
- Stay updated on statutory changes and ensure compliance across sites.
- Collaborate with the wider team to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide the lead technical response to emergency situations.
