The Layout Manager will be responsible for approximately 500 stores macro space layouts, to provide an excellent and consistent level of macro space layouts to a number of Savers stores through awareness of key business priorities and effective communication.
A Typical Day In This Role Includes:
- To understand key business priorities / focuses of the Commercial team and subsequently deliver this through delivery of macro space layouts within time scale.
- To provide detailed information to all internal customers within the business as appropriate.
- To support the business in delivery of key projects as appropriate (e.g. New Design Concepts and Segmentation).
- To review and analyse store macro layouts based on sales performance / history and suggest improvements to drive incremental sales / profitability.
- To spend time in the field understanding both internal and external customer requirements.
- To support in the delivery of the retail business plan as appropriate (e.g. introduction of new formats / categories / fixtures).
- To maintain a high degree of customer service at all times and to adhere to any relevant service principles.
- Travel to stores / field teams to understand local issues / challenges.
- To take reasonable care of the health and safety of yourself and of others who may be affected by what you do or do not do at work.
- To cooperate with the employer on health and safety matters; not misuse any equipment that is provided for safety purposes (e.g. fire extinguishers or safety goggles).
- To follow instructions from the employer on health and safety matters and attend relevant health and safety training; report hazards and defects observed and report any accident, injury or near miss in the workplace.
- To perform ad hoc requests to support projects as and when the job requires as requested by your line manager.
What You’ll Need:
- Previous retail layout experience is desirable.
- Good knowledge of AutoCad / Revit.
- Good knowledge of PC based Office applications (i.e. Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc.).
- Good knowledge of store operation processes.
- Good knowledge of store planning systems – JDA / Spacemen.
- Good knowledge of visual planning - Adobe.
- Good knowledge of macro space layout requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
