The People Leadership and Development Manager will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of impactful training, development, and leadership initiatives across Head Office and Retail. This role will work closely with key stakeholders to develop and implement tailored development plans that assess current capabilities, identify future skills, and address development needs, ultimately enhancing employee engagement, performance, leadership, and career progression.
A typical day in this role includes:
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Regional General Managers, functional heads of departments, and the People Teams across both Savers and Superdrug.
- Supporting the Senior Talent and People Development Manager in the design and implementation of the company’s Development Strategy, with specific ownership of Savers training and leadership development delivery both online and face to face.
- Continuously developing personal knowledge and skills to ensure Savers offers best in class training and leadership development that meets the evolving needs of our people, now and in the future.
- Ensuring leadership skills at all levels are clearly defined, mapped, and developed, focusing on both current skill requirements and future leadership needs.
- Identifying trends and providing insight to the business to drive great decision making and enhance our overall development offering.
- Working closely with the Senior Talent and Development Manager to highlight skills gaps, development opportunities, and future leadership potential to enable Savers to deliver a strong succession plan and pipeline of top talent both internally and externally.
- Delivering regular reports and insights on key KPIs that support business performance, strengthen our employee journey, and maintain a healthy internal leadership and succession pipeline.
- Line managing and developing the People Development team, ensuring they are empowered to deliver high impact learning and leadership programmes across Savers.
