Saversis a growing Health, Home and Beauty discount retailer with over 520 shopsacross the UK. As a Savers Buyer you willbe responsible for sourcing great value and on-trend products to sell withinour store estate and our website. ASavers buyer should have a thorough understanding of customer needs, be able toidentify and source new products, deliver and manage a portfolio of productsthat provide our customers with quality and value, whilst maintainingcompetitiveness and driving sales and profitability as part of the overallcommercial strategy.
Whatwill I be doing?
- Develop, implement and deliver category plans including range reviews, promotions, pricing and stock management that are consistent with overall commercial strategy and financial objectives.
- Identify and implement new product opportunities that are competitively priced, commercially viable and meet customer needs, driving sales and profitability.
- Manage and review pricing to protect profitability while ensuring Savers is competitive. Operate within Company pricing strategy.
- Collaborate with the Online and Marketing teams to develop and implement marketing promotion plans and strategies that are relevant to the category.
- Adhere to legislation and brand guidelines, and clearly and effectively communicate with the customer, driving footfall and profitable sales.
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of promotions, taking appropriate action where necessary, and sharing best practice with peers and other stakeholders.
- Working in partnership with the Supply Chain team to maximise stock availability for our customers, manage store ranging and ensure general stock health for your category.
- Collaborating with the Operations team to ensure the commercial offer lands effectively, while supporting our store teams for optimal execution

- Retail Buyer experience within the Personal Care/Toiletry sector ideally
- Commercially sound with ability to understand and interpret market information
- Strong analytical and numerical skills. Excel experience essential.
- Ability to influence and negotiation strategies to attain the best terms for the category and the business.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills: written and verbal, including presentations
- Experience of the value/discount sector
