The Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical Engineer to support project delivery across South Wales and throughout the UK. This is a hands‑on role focused on the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of renewable energy and energy efficiency systems. A key part of the position involves underfloor heating and low‑carbon heating solutions, alongside Solar PV, EV infrastructure, and LED upgrades.

What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Inspection and Testing Qualifications C&G 2391
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Proven experience in renewable technologies (Solar PV, EV, LED) and heating systems, particularly underfloor heating or similar
- Strong understanding of energy efficiency and carbon reduction
- Willingness to travel across the UK
- Full UK driving licence
- ECS/CSCS card (preferred)

We are expanding our delivery capability for advanced heating solutions, including the JustHeat graphene underfloor heating system. Candidates should be capable of installing and leading projects involving this technology.
Experience & Capability desirable
- Proven experience installing electric underfloor heating systems (or similar low‑profile heating technologies)
- Ability to lead full project delivery of underfloor heating installations from survey through to commissioning
- Experience working on retrofit and new‑build environments, ensuring minimal disruption and efficient installation
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of low‑voltage (ELV) heating systems and safe installation practices
- Knowledge of integrating heating systems with smart thermostats and control systems
- Ability to interpret layouts and install modular panel‑based systems cut to size on‑site
- Understanding of zoning and control strategies for energy efficiency
Compliance & Standards
- Ability to install systems in line with BS7671 Wiring Regulations and Building Regulations Part P (Competent Person requirement)
- Ensure correct protection (e.g. RCDs), testing, and certification of low‑voltage heating circuits
- Maintain full compliance with manufacturer installation guidance and safety standards
Installation & Project Delivery Skills
- Conduct detailed site surveys and heat requirement assessments.
- Plan and coordinate installations including floor preparation and system layout, panel installation and electrical connections (48V DC systems), integration with controls and power supply.
- Commission systems and verify performance, efficiency, and safe operation.
- Provide client handover, including system operation and controls.
Leadership & Client‑Facing Skills
- Lead small installation teams on‑site and coordinate subcontractors where required
- Act as the technical lead for heating solutions within projects reporting to Head of Projects
- Liaise with clients, main contractors, and project managers
- Support design input and contribute to heat decarbonisation strategies
