Legacy Marketing Manager to help shape the future of our legacy fundraising programme .

In this influential role, you will lead impactful marketing campaigns that inspire supporters to leave a gift in their Will, building long-term relationships and securing vital future income for children.

Working within a high-performing team, you'll use insight, creativity and innovation to grow our legacy pipeline, maximise supporter engagement and deliver outstanding supporter experiences.

Legacy gifts play a transformational role in helping Save the Children create lasting change for children in the UK and around the world.

As Legacy Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for delivering multi-channel campaigns and stewardship journeys that inspire action, deepen supporter commitment and grow future income.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across Public Impact and the wider organisation, you will help ensure that more supporters choose to leave a lasting legacy for children, enabling our work to continue for generations to come.

About the role

The Legacy Marketing Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the legacy marketing programme, including strategy implementation, campaign execution, budget management and performance against KPIs.

You will deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns that help reach new audiences, as well as unlocking the great potential we have within our committed supporter base.

You'll be skilled in delivering activity that acquires, converts, stewards and retains legacy supporters to ensure sustainable future income growth.

You''ll have expertise in driving legacy consideration, growing supporter value, and growing and strengthening the legacy pipeline to achieve our targets.

Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, the Legacy Relationship Manager, and with colleagues across the organisation, you will be accountable for achieving agreed acquisition, conversion, engagement and future income objectives for the legacy marketing programme.

You will lead, manage and deliver integrated marketing campaigns, supporter journeys and supporter stewardship across paid media, direct mail, email, telemarketing and events.

You'll be data-driven and supporter-led, ensuring all activity contributes to a best-in-class supporter experience that builds lifetime value.

In this role, you will

  • Lead and be accountable for the delivery of multi-channel legacy marketing plans, achieving ambitious KPIs across consideration, conversion, retention and income.

Use the most effective channel mix to ensure we target the right individuals with the right message at the right time.

  • Work as part of a high-performing marketing team, delivering insight-led, data-driven campaigns and supporter experiences that respond to our audiences' needs and motivations, build trusted long-term relationships, and increase lifetime value.
  • Lead and manage the planning, delivery and evaluation of legacy marketing and stewardship activity, including budgets, timelines, stakeholder management, creative development and performance reporting.
  • Deliver and manage a programme of paid acquisition campaigns, across digital, press and audio, and support plans to diversify our marketing channel mix, optimising for ROI, CPA and CPC metrics.
  • Deliver legacy marketing campaigns and supporter journeys across direct mail, email and telemarketing, ensuring a seamless supporter experience and achieving conversion and retention objectives.
  • Deliver and manage a best-in-class legacy supporter experience, ensuring alignment across all supporter touchpoints, to deepen engagement, drive pipeline conversion and increase supporter lifetime value.
  • Develop compelling fundraising content and creative that deepens engagement and inspires action across every stage of the marketing funnel.
  • Manage content plans and develop marketing assets that inspire engagement and action.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and audience growth.
  • Analyse marketing performance and ensure data and insight play a pivotal role in decision-making, embedding a test-and-learn approach to optimise campaigns and ensuring learnings are shared and implemented across Public Income and Engagement.
  • Work with Senior Marketing Manager to manage budgets, e. g. supporting expenditure and ROI planning, reporting and re-forecasting.
  • Forge excellent relationships with key stakeholders across internal teams, including Marketing, Philanthropy, Community Fundraising, Volunteering, Retail and Supporter Care, championing legacy giving across the organisation and seeking integrated fundraising opportunities.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with a range of key external partners, including marketing agencies, production companies and fulfilment agencies, and motivate and inspire these partners to deliver their best for Save the Children.

About you

To be successful, it is important that you have/are

  • Proven experience delivering legacy and/or fundraising programmes, with a track record of growing legacy pipelines, increasing conversion and maximising supporter lifetime value.
  • Strong retention marketing experience, including developing multi-channel campaigns, audience planning and supporter stewardship strategies.
  • Experience designing and optimising supporter journeys that enhance the supporter experience, deepen engagement and drive action.
  • Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns across direct mail, email, telemarketing, SMS and digital channels, including paid search, paid social, audio, print, press and DRTV.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data and insight to evaluate performance, optimise campaigns and inform decision-making.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience managing external agencies and suppliers, including creative, telemarketing and fulfilment partners.
  • Experience developing compelling fundraising and marketing content and creative to drive engagement and response.
  • Experience managing campaign budgets, forecasting and reforecasting expenditure.
  • Strong numerical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and focus on activities that deliver the greatest impact.
