Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for a Programme Funding Analysis & Insight Specialist (Fixed Term Contract) to join our global team. This advert is open to internal Save the Children International employees, Country office staff, Alumni and Save the Children member office employees only.

Team and Role Purpose

To provide strategic leadership and direction on all Programme Funding matters across Save the Children. Optimise and align our local-to-global programme funding portfolio and drive continuous improvements in our capabilities, funding practices and donor partnerships. Blend art and science to turn insights into action. Collaborate extensively across the movement, and partner closely with key stakeholders, both within and beyond StC, to directly inform, shape, and connect key strategic programme funding trends and initiatives that advance the movement's Global Strategy and Global Funding Framework ambitions.

Role purpose

To develop and deliver specialist programme funding analytics, forecasting and insights that drive programme funding decision-making and prioritisation globally. To deliver a wide range of external and internal insights reports, analytical dashboards and bespoke support tools that, in collaboration with key stakeholders and functional experts across the movement, helps foster better understanding, buy-in, and the successful delivery of Save the Children International’s programme funding goals.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Deliver comprehensive funding analytics that provide actionable insights to drive programme funding decision-making and prioritisation globally.
  • Maintain a suite of analytical dashboards and bespoke support tools to enhance understanding and engagement across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and functional experts to produce and disseminate internal and external insights reports.
  • Ensure the effective integration of diverse data sources to produce accurate and reliable analytics for strategic planning and performance monitoring.

Experience and Skills

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in the field of data analytics or financial forecasting, preferably within the non-profit sector or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in using data analytics tools and creating dashboards/reports to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Significant experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and interacting with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Experience in roles involving significant interaction with programme funding and resource mobilisation specialists to effectively inform strategic planning.

Desirable Experience:

  • Extensive experience in presenting data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leaders.

Essential Skills:

  • Analytical Skills: Advanced ability to analyse complex data sets to extract meaningful insights and trends to support programme funding decisions.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced ability in using data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python) and data visualisation software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Education and Qualifications

Essential Education: Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience - in international development, business administration, economics, marketing, or a related field.

Multi-Language Proficiency: While English is essential, proficiency in other languages commonly used in SCI/A programme funding operations, such as French, Spanish or Arabic, is desirable. Other relevant languages would also be a distinct advantage.
