Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for the Head, Global Shared Services for CRM Project to join our global team.
Team and Job Purpose
In Save the Children, we currently have a diverse landscape of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms in use. With this project, we are implementing a Global CRM System for fundraising across certain key markets and implementing Global Shared Services for the benefit of our global movement. The initial focus is on small clusters of member countries using the same CRM platforms but operating independently or migrating CRM. The project aims to explore the potential to offer Shared Services on these common CRM platforms and expand deployments of the Global CRM solution across Save the Children, maximising our ability to interact with donors and enhance global fundraising capabilities. It is a complex project with high visibility requiring senior level engagement with stakeholders across the movement.
Initiate and deliver on the priorities for this initiative, including a clear strategy and path to defined outcomes while prioritising required deployments and quick wins where relevant. The role includes feasibility assessment to understand deployment impact and options for SCUS adoption, identifying scope for feature enhancements of Global CRM, and pursuing other Member and Country Office deployment opportunities as they progress. The Project Lead will be accountable for delivering the assessment and deployments, maximising adoption. This includes establishing governance, assembling required teams and reference groups, conducting current and future state analyses, evaluating options to move forwards, identifying mitigations for project risks and issues, defining costs and benefits, and coordinating governance to move feasibility assessments and deployments through delivery and approvals. It is critical to manage a robust plan for feasibilities and deployment delivery and to indicate expected timelines for later phases once sign-off is achieved. The Lead will coach and guide the project team and ensure accountability for delivery.
Principal Accountabilities
- Project Leadership: Including direct and indirect management of team members and accountability to the CTO and SLT from impacted members on delivery of the Project
- Governance and Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Define, implement and manage governance and engagement with wider senior leaders, and set up and manage reference groups to ensure input from key individuals for the duration of the Project
- Planning and Reporting: Ensure alignment with standard Project and Change Methodologies and associated Portfolio management requirements
- Budget management: Define and monitor ongoing management of the Budget for the Project, ensuring compliance with required processes and timely escalation of any issues
- Future State Definition: Detailed definition of the future operating model and actions required to achieve the required change, including impacts on people, processes, data and technology
- Dependency management: Work with wider initiatives and functions to ensure dependencies are understood and actively managed with clear owners and accountability
- Problem Solving: Lead the resolution of challenges, identify issues, and manage through to resolution with timely governance reporting
Experience and Skills
- Considerable experience in leadership, management and deployment of large, global transformation projects within Save the Children or comparable large organisations, across system and non-system change. Demonstrates accountability for issue resolution and capacity building in problem-solving
- Hands-on experience of complex CRM deployments in a fundraising capacity, from feasibility through design, development and deployment
- Experience leading the setup of large-scale Global Transformation initiatives including recruitment of key roles, governance setup and functional alignment
- Familiarity with industry project methodologies (agile and waterfall) and change management standards, including evidence of formal training and ability to hold project teams to those standards
- Experience engaging senior leaders up to Board level and partnering with functional leaders across multiple functions
- Ability to resolve complex project issues with pragmatism and rigour, guiding others to deliver interventions and governance
- Line management experience, including coaching for project management, change management, feasibility and initiation
- Proven ability to operate within a matrix organisation, overseeing resources without direct line management and across multiple functional areas
- Operational expertise with digital technologies focused on data-driven decision making
- Non-profit sector knowledge/experience
- Proficiency in a second core language of Save the Children (French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic)
Education and Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
- External Project and/or Change Management accreditation
