Overview
Wellingborough fabrication automotive sector, is seeking an experienced MIG & TIG Welder Fabricator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator to work on a variety of bespoke and high-quality metalwork projects in a fast-paced, supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIG and TIG welding, fabrication, and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
- Fabricate bespoke components and assemblies from engineering drawings
- Use workshop tools and machinery (e.g. grinders, saws, press brakes, etc.)
- Carry out quality checks and ensure all work meets client and industry standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Collaborate with the wider fabrication and engineering team to meet project deadlines
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding
- Strong fabrication skills and confident with various materials and thicknesses
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing clean, accurate welds
- Reliable, self-motivated, and a strong team player
- Relevant qualifications or coding (advantageous but not essential)
