We’re recruiting a Field Service Engineer, specifically someone with experience working on Lifts (Access or Through the Floor) to join our team, covering Glasgow and the surrounding areas. You’ll spend your day installing, servicing and repairing our lifts and stairlifts in customers’ homes. Just as important as technical ability is your drive to do a great job, manage your own workload and deliver a positive, professional customer experience. This is a role for someone who enjoys owning their day, planning their time effectively and pushing themselves to succeed.
A valid UK driving licence is required as you’ll be travelling within your region, and you’ll take part in a 1-in-4 on-call rota, with additional payments for call-outs.
Schedule
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
- Regular, consistent overtime available
- Weekend availability 1 in 4 on-call rota for evenings and weekends (paid if called out)
Requirements
- Experience servicing and installing Through Floor Lifts or Access Lifts
- Exposure to electrical work, joinery, mechanical tasks or installation-based work (advantageous but not essential – full training provided)
- A strong work ethic and drive to succeed, with the motivation to maximise performance and earnings
- The ability to manage your own time effectively, plan your day and work independently
- A customer-focused approach, with good communication skills and a professional manner
- Confidence working alone while also being part of a wider team
- A flexible attitude, including willingness to work overtime and take part in an on-call rota
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Good local or regional geographic awareness
