Kingswinford, DY6 £36,000 - £40,000

Schedule: Mon-Thurs 8-4:30, Fri 8-3:30

Enjoy regular hours with no shift work, finishing early every Friday, giving you more time for yourself at the end of the week. You'll have the flexibility to occasionally work overtime on weekends for planned maintenance or moves, ensuring you’re fairly compensated for your time.

And you’ll be working for a business that makes a real difference in people’s lives. The obvious purpose of helping people with mobility issues is something that resonates with many engineers.

On top of that, you’ll get 33 days’ holiday, a company pension, and fully funded training to keep your skills sharp and open doors to future promotions. This is a chance to work in a supportive environment where you can develop your expertise across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC disciplines. You’ll be trusted to keep the site running smoothly, covering everything from repairs to fault diagnosis and long-term improvements.

And you won’t be stuck doing the same thing every day. You’ll get hands-on with a wide range of systems, including machine tooling, electrical systems up to 415V, power distribution, motors, pumps, and PLCs and get to know people across the site in the offices, factory and warehouse.

What you’ll do:

  • Keep the site (including factory, warehouse and offices) running and in top condition - addressing any maintenance issues that arise.
  • Support the continuous operation of site machinery and equipment across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC disciplines.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.
  • Use internal systems to log maintenance activity, including PUWER risk assessments, and ensure clear communication back to the Production Engineering Manager.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed safely and in line with standards.
  • Manage spare parts, including identifying and ordering required components. Occasionally manufacture or modify parts as required.
  • Provide technical support to supervisors and production teams and work collaboratively across departments to maintain safety and compliance.

What you’ll need:

A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / ONC / City & Guilds / HNC / HND or equivalent in electrical or mechanical discipline) and strong hands-on maintenance experience in a facilities, manufacturing or industrial environment. Mechanical systems and machine tooling, electrical systems up to 415V, including power distribution, motors, pumps, and PLCs, and a methodical approach to fault finding with strong problem-solving skills.
