The Role
- Group Reporting & Consolidation
- Support monthly group consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
- Prepare management reports, including balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis, and commentary for senior management.
- Validate financial data from the ERP system and collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reporting packs.
- Statutory, Audit & Investor Reporting
- Prepare statutory reporting schedules, disclosures, and reconciliations under IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Support technical accounting assessments and documentation for complex transactions.
- Assist with external audits through preparation of audit files and responses to auditor queries.
- Contribute to board and investor reporting, providing financial analysis and performance insights.
- Controls & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and reporting systems.
- Support finance transformation projects and broader business initiatives.
- Undertake ad hoc analysis and projects as required by the Group Financial Controller.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate is a practice trained qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience and a strong background in group reporting within a multi-entity or international environment.
Key Requirements
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and consolidated financial reporting.
- Experience preparing management accounts, financial analysis, and audit deliverables.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP finance systems.
