We are recruiting for a hands-on Network Engineer to support the build and stabilisation of a new manufacturing network environment. This role is heavily delivery-focused, involving installation, configuration, and support of network infrastructure, alongside helping deploy a secure, air-gapped Manufacturing Control Network (MCN).
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points
- Support deployment of a secure air-gapped network environment
- Perform network inventory, documentation, and IDF mapping
- Assist with migration from corporate to site-specific network infrastructure
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco ISE and Palo Alto firewalls
- Support wireless refresh and switch rollout activities
- Update and maintain CMDB and network documentation
- Carry out hands-on tasks (rack/stack, cabling, connectivity checks)
- Work with global teams to ensure standards, governance, and smooth delivery
- Support ongoing troubleshooting and network optimisation
Key Skills & Experience
- Solid Cisco networking (Catalyst/Nexus, routing, switching, VLANs, STP, wireless)
- Experience with Cisco ISE and Palo Alto firewalls
- Hands-on experience with network hardware installation and support
- Understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, fiber, and authentication
- Experience in enterprise or manufacturing environments
- Exposure to air-gapped, OT, or industrial networks (desirable)
- Experience with CMDB, asset tracking, and documentation
- Comfortable working onsite and independently, with strong communication skills
