We are seeking an experienced Data Retention (BigID) Solution Architect to support a major insurance client on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. This is a hybrid role based in London (2-3 days per week onsite), offering the opportunity to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide data retention capabilities.
As the Data Retention Solution Architect, you will act as the subject matter expert for data retention regulations, policies and best practice, ensuring compliance requirements are translated into scalable technical solutions. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you'll define retention policies, support BigID implementation, and design data retention architecture across Azure data platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Define enterprise data retention policies and regulatory requirements
- Translate legal and business requirements into technical solutions and user stories
- Maintain data inventory, classification and data mapping artefacts
- Validate data discovery and classification outputs
- Support pilot deployments, business adoption and governance activities
- Produce audit evidence and documentation supporting compliance
- Design retention solutions across Azure Data Lake, Snowflake and Azure Synapse
- Collaborate with business, legal and technical stakeholders
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect specialising in Data Retention and BigID
- Strong understanding of data retention regulations, governance and compliance
- Experience implementing BigID data discovery and classification solutions
- Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies including ADLS, Snowflake and Synapse
- Strong stakeholder management and business analysis skills
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions
- Must Have Insurance industry experience
