Savant is supporting a leading organisation in its sector in the search for an interim Financial Systems and Control Manager to lead on financial governance and control during a period of change, following the merger of two organisations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join at a pivotal moment as we embed new systems and processes following a major merger.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll play a vital role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, maintaining a robust financial control framework, and mitigating risks associated with legacy systems and data. You'll also support the transition to a new finance ERP system, Workday. You'll lead a small team and act as the key contact for all matters related to financial control.
Key Responsibilities:- Own and update the organisation's financial regulations to ensure compliance with evolving standards and requirements
- Provide assurance on key financial controls across systems, processes, and data
- Collaborate with finance leaders to build and maintain effective control frameworks across all legal entities
- Oversee legacy finance system operations and support the ERP system transition
- Work with senior stakeholders to ensure strong financial governance across the business
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team
You'll ideally be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with solid experience in financial systems and controls. In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Agresso, Sun, Unit4 or similar). Experience in risk management, compliance, and control frameworks. Prior exposure to a finance transformation or system implementation would be beneficial. Strong team management and stakeholder engagement skills.
