A well-respected organisation in its sector is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Reporting Project Lead to support a critical period ahead of year-end, following a recent systems implementation. This is a hands-on assignment focused on resolving a number of accounting and financial control issues, strengthening reporting processes, and ensuring audit readiness ahead of year-end. The role would suit a technically strong finance professional who trained within an accountancy practice and has subsequently gained commercial finance experience within a complex organisation.

The Role

Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will lead a number of key financial reporting and control initiatives, including balance sheet reconciliations, process improvements and month-end reporting enhancements. This is a highly visible role requiring someone proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable operating at pace within a changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the resolution of historic balance sheet reconciliation issues across multiple nominal accounts
  • Investigate and clear historic mispostings and aged balances
  • Support financial control improvements following a recent systems implementation
