Savant are pleased to be supporting a key client in their search for a Compliance Accountant to join their Berkshire-based finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and well-structured finance function, working closely with the Finance Director to support global tax and statutory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
You'll take ownership of coordinating and delivering tax and financial filing obligations across the UK and internationally. The role focuses on ensuring deadlines are met, maintaining compliance calendars, and acting as a key link between internal stakeholders and external advisers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage UK VAT processes including submissions, payments, and HMRC correspondence
- Coordinate international tax and statutory filings across multiple regions (US, EU, APAC)
- Oversee US sales tax processes (via external systems/advisers)
- Maintain compliance trackers and ensure timely, accurate filings
- Liaise with external advisers, auditors, and internal teams
- Prepare reporting for the FD/CFO and support audit and regulatory requests
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
What We're Looking For
- AAT qualified (or equivalent experience); ACA/ACCA/CTA part-qualified desirable
- 3-5 years' experience in tax, finance, or accounting
