We’re looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join a growing UK finance team within a large, multi-entity business generating c.£200m revenue. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the details while also working closely with senior stakeholders.
You’ll report to the Senior Finance Manager and work alongside the Management Accountant and Group Reporting Manager to ensure accurate monthly reporting, strong financial controls and high-quality information for the Senior Leadership Team and Board. This is a great opportunity for a Financial Accountant who wants genuine ownership of key accounting areas, as well as exposure to senior leadership and board-level reporting. The role involves working with a collaborative finance team that prides itself on a great work culture and strong team ethic.
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow) for UK entities
- Owning balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations and intercompany balances
- Producing balance sheet and cash flow forecasts and plans
- Supporting Board and SLT reporting with clear, well-presented financial information
- Taking ownership of UK revenue accounting, including deferred and accrued income
- Managing financing and interest accounting, including reconciliations and schedules
- Supporting audits, budgeting, forecasting and wider finance projects
What we’re looking for:
- ACA or ACCA qualified - Around 3 years’ post-qualification experience
- Degree educated
- Strong understanding of financial statements and month-end processes
- Confident working to deadlines in a busy finance environment
- Good Excel skills and solid MS Office experience
- Clear communicator who enjoys working with people across the business
Nice to have (but not essential):
- Experience in preparing statutory accounts
- Background in external audit
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics F&O or similar finance systems
- Experience in a high-volume or multi-entity environment
