Associate Director at Savant Recruitment Experts My client operates within the technology sector and is looking to recruit a qualified accountant for this hands-on Financial Controller vacancy based in Reading. You will work directly for the Finance Director and be responsible for the company’s monthly financial and management accounting. The role includes management of a small team, and a mindset of continued improvement and strong systems skills will be essential. Key responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end accounting processes, supporting the team and hitting reporting deadlines. Manage the wider finance team and ensure that accounting processes are applied correctly and consistently. Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Review statutory accounts. Produce management reports with associated commentary. Work with budget holders and advise on finance-related issues. Support and implement systems and process improvements. Cashflow forecasting. The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant and experienced Finance Manager/Financial Controller. They will have worked in a smaller entity and enjoy the hands-on aspects of the task. They will have operated in a complex environment, have the ability to communicate with the wider business, and have managed a team of junior finance professionals.
