  • Provide challenge, insight, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Deliver clear analysis to explain business performance, including risks, opportunities, and key drivers.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and work with teams to improve financial planning.
  • Partner with non‑financial colleagues to ensure robust reporting across all financial and non‑financial metrics.
  • Present financial information to senior management in a clear and engaging way.
  • Champion reporting improvements, promoting consistency, clarity, and efficiency.
  • Support wider finance teams with year‑end, audits, business planning and transformation initiatives.
  • Drive projects and continuous improvement within the finance function.
  • Deputise for the Head of Investment and Development Reporting where required.

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with strong post‑qualification experience.
  • Excellent understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and management accounts processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and strong systems literacy.
  • Skilled in producing insightful financial reporting with detailed variance analysis.
  • Logical, analytical problem‑solver with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
  • A confident communicator who can build credibility and influence stakeholders.
  • Curious, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Experience using Workday or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles or legislation relevant to housing or regulated sectors.
  • Experience in a fast‑paced or complex organisation.
  • Experience producing process mapping or procedure documentation.
