Savanna Staff Solutions are looking for a Class 2 Driver for our carpet and flooring client in Chessington KT9 postcode. The right candidate will be offered ongoing work throughout the year with a possibility of a permanent placement if preferred. LTD company pay accepted.
Your daily Class 2 driver duties will be as follows:
- Pre and Post vehicle checks
- Delivery of rolls of carpet, underlay and flooring of different varieties, mainly via pallet truck and tail lift
- Use of carpet wheels and/or pallet truck - unloading of goods into customers' premises
- Liaison with client - excellent customer facing skills are a must
This can be a physical role with the unloading of flooring involved using pallet truck and tail lift into clients' premises. A usual day is 9/10 hours long.
All Class 2 driver applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK prior to applying for work and must have all the following attributes:
- UK Cat C (Class 2 HGV) driving licence minimum 12 months and no more than 6 points for minor offences – No DD's, IN's or DR's
- Current DQC CPC Card and digi card with knowledge of manual entry
- Be physically able to carry large rolls of carpet or pull pallets of flooring
- Good English is essential to communicate over the phone
