As an Electrical Site Engineer, you'll deliver commissioning, servicing and repairs across SAV's market-leading range of low carbon technology products, from electric boilers and heat pumps to metering, data and control systems.
You'll work across a broad and varied product range, with ongoing training toward industry-recognised qualifications.

Main Purpose of the Job
To deliver a first in class service to our customers in relation to delivering electrical commissioning, servicing and repairs of all SAV product groups, including data and metering.
- Roles and Responsibilities
- Commissioning, servicing and maintaining a wide range of SAV products, including electric boilers, commercial heat pumps*, combined heat and power* (CHPs), mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, heat interface units and metering and monitoring systems.
- Validating on-site installations, ensuring that the installation has been completed correctly, to the appropriate electrical and other standards and regulations.
- On-site fault finding and investigation, , across the whole product range.
- Coordinating metering set-ups (usually connecting to M-bus or Modbus wiring).
- Working on our mechanical ventilation with heat recovery product, which uses its own data wiring system, similar to RS485.
- Assisting our mechanical Gas Safe engineers, as required*.
- Communicating professionally and courteously with clients and delivering a first in class service.
- Generating accurate and timely site reports within our CRM system.
- Participating in manufacturer and in-house CPD training to achieve the industry recognised qualifications required to carry out the role to the highest standards.
- Adhering to Health and Safety regulations and working safely at all times.
The role will include some working away from home, including occasional overnight stays.
*Not the gas aspect of these products
The above list of duties is not exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.
Skills and Experience
- A recognized electrical qualification (see below) is essential.
- Experience of 3-phase commercial/industrial installations.
- Fault finding and diagnostic skills are essential.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and technical documentation.
- Data experience, and familiarity with metering, BMS or control systems, would be advantageous.
- A technical aptitude, with an interest in low carbon technologies.
- Excellent customer service skills are essential.
- Self motivated, with the ability to work independently (after training).
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- Good MS-Office skills and experience of generating accurate, high quality site reports is essential.
- Experience of inputting / updating information in a CRM database would be advantageous.
Education and Qualifications
- Level 3 electro-technical qualification
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent
- Latest version of BS7671 IEE wiring regulations
- Additional Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
