A Sales and Proposal role drives company revenue by identifying prospects, building relationships, and creating persuasive, compliant proposals to win business.
Key duties include:
- Managing the full end-to-end proposal process (RFPs), coordinating with Riventa operations team members, aligning solutions with client needs, negotiating terms, and submitting tenders within deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prospecting: Identify and prospect new customers utilizing CRM systems.
- Proposal Development: Managing the end-to-end process of developing, writing, and submitting proposals, bids, and Request for Proposals (RFPs / PQQ’s).
- Customer Needs Analysis: Liaising with operations and sales teams members to understand customer requirements and technical needs, then tailoring solutions to fit.
- Project Management: Scheduling handover meetings with operations and providing support, coordinating inputs from technical and legal teams, and managing submission deadlines.
- Proposal Strategy: Defining the Proposal Strategy (e.g., win themes), implementing proposal procedures, and running storyboard sessions.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensuring proposals comply with client requirements, internal policies, and quality standards.
- Commercial & Pricing: Developing, reviewing, and approving cost estimates and pricing strategies. Contribute proactively to the business & profitability growth. Prepare and actively participate in sales team reviews & reports. Adherence of internal procedures, contractual terms etc.
Key Competencies
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating compelling proposals.
- Organization: Strong project management abilities to handle multiple proposals and tight deadlines.
- Marketing Support: Provide information and support to the marketing team for campaigns, social media and case studies. Build brand awareness & Implement marketing plan. Participate in communication events and actions.
- Technical Knowledge: Capability to understand and articulate complex product/service solutions.
- Relationship Management: Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and engage with clients. Maintaining customer contact and build long-term partnership.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in proposal writing, bid management and technical sales.
- Education: Minimum 5 years’ experience demonstrating qualifications in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Tools: Familiarity with proposal management software and MS Office Suite.
- Skills: High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
- Communication: High levels of clear communication with fellow team members and customers.
- Technical Knowledge: Municipal Industry & Municipal technologies.
