A Sales and Proposal role drives company revenue by identifying prospects, building relationships, and creating persuasive, compliant proposals to win business.
Key duties include:
- Managing the full end‑to‑end proposal process (RFPs).
- Coordinating with the operations team members.
- Aligning solutions with client needs.
- Negotiating terms and submitting tenders within deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prospecting: Identify and prospect new customers utilizing CRM systems.
- Proposal Development: Manage the end‑to‑end process of developing, writing, and submitting proposals, bids, and Request for Proposals (RFPs / PQQs).
- Customer Needs Analysis: Liaise with operations and sales teams to understand customer requirements and technical needs, then tailor solutions to fit.
- Project Management: Schedule handover meetings with operations, provide support, coordinate inputs from technical and legal teams, and manage submission deadlines.
- Proposal Strategy: Define the proposal strategy (e.g., win themes), implement proposal procedures, and run storyboard sessions.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure proposals comply with client requirements, internal policies, and quality standards.
- Commercial & Pricing: Develop, review, and approve cost estimates and pricing strategies. Contribute proactively to business and profitability growth. Prepare and actively participate in sales team reviews and reports. Adhere to internal procedures and contractual terms.
Key Competencies:
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating compelling proposals.
- Organization: Strong project management abilities to handle multiple proposals and tight deadlines.
- Marketing Support: Provide information and support to the marketing team for campaigns, social media, and case studies. Build brand awareness and implement marketing plans. Participate in communication events and actions.
