We are looking for an experienced Multi‑skilled Engineer with a passion to provide both preventative and reactive solutions in an efficient and sustainable manner whilst demonstrating a high level of customer service. The role is a mobile position based at our Truro office with contracts across the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake the role of multi‑skilled engineer for industrial, commercial, and domestic wastewater treatment systems.
- Undertake scheduled and reactive servicing and maintenance of electro‑mechanical equipment.
- On‑site fault finding, repair and replacement of equipment that relates to the water, wastewater and sewage industry.
- Create detailed reports of completed works and recommendations of remedial works.
- Travel to maintenance or project based sites around the UK either independently or as part of a team.
- Preparation of timesheets, risk assessments, method statements.
- On occasions you may be offered to assist with projects overseas.
Benefits:
- The salary is between £38,000 & £43,000 per year, depending on your professional experience.
- Company van and fuel card.
- Working hours based on 37.5 hours per week 8.30‑4.30 Monday to Friday.
- Overtime and on‑call rota payments 1.5 weekdays 1.75 weekends.
- Holidays - 25 days + 8 statutory days.
- Probationary Period - 6 months.
- Pension - Can join immediately or auto‑enrolled after 3 months - Employee 5% and Employer 5% via salary sacrifice.
- Eligible to join Private Healthcare after successfully completing probation.
- Enrolled in Group Income Protection and Death in Service (4 x basic salary) upon commencement of employment.
- Notice - 1 week during probation, increasing to 1 month thereafter.
Qualifications:
- A full clean UK driving licence.
- Level 3 apprenticeship in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
- 18th Edition certified.
- Ability to manage projects.
- PASMA.
- Wastewater background, all areas.
- An understanding of domestic, commercial, and industrial systems is desirable.
- Confined space medium risk top and bottom person.
- Blue water card.
- SMSTS/SSSTS.
- First aid.
