In this pivotal leadership role, you will serve as the chief architect of the bridge between academic excellence and regional economic vitality. You will oversee a high-impact, diverse portfolio—ranging from cutting-edge business and technology programs to the prestigious SVCC Police Academy—ensuring our students are the first choice for the high-demand industries of tomorrow.

Industry Partnership: Serve as the college’s primary liaison to the regional economy, cultivating high-value partnerships with employers to expand internships, apprenticeships, and direct-to-hire pipelines. Signature Programming: Lead the strategy and execution of high-visibility initiatives, such as Manufacturing Day, positioning SVCC as the regional hub for workforce development. Executive Oversight: Provide high-level strategic direction to key specialized units, including: SVCC Police Academy, Adult Education & Literacy, Economic Development and Donor Relations.
Fiscal Stewardship & Grant Management. Perkins V Leadership: Serve as the lead administrator for the Perkins V Grant, leveraging federal resources to modernize instructional technology and drive departmental growth. Budgetary Strategy: Direct the Academic Services annual budget with a focus on ROI, ensuring resources are strategically aligned with the college’s long-term vision. Institutional Planning: Facilitate collaborative goal-setting with faculty leaders to ensure departmental operations move in lockstep with the College Strategic Plan.
Institutional Governance. Policy Leadership: Represent the BCTE division on the Leadership Council, contributing your voice to college-wide policy-making and strategic initiatives. Operational Integrity: Participate in the Night Administrator rotation, ensuring administrative responsiveness and campus safety during evening hours.
What You Bring. The Mission: A deep, demonstrable commitment to the comprehensive community college mission and its role in social mobility. The Expertise: A Master’s degree and a proven track record of leadership in business, industry, or technical education. The Vision: Experience with curriculum design, alternative learning modalities, and instructional growth. Qualifications. Required: Master’s degree and experience in administrative leadership. Fiscal Acumen: Direct experience with grant management (Perkins V preferred) and multi-departmental budgeting.
