Headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with offices around the world, we combine market discipline with a generations’ spanning view of the future, born of our nine decades experience as responsible stewards of the Kingdom’s vast hydrocarbon resources.

This responsibility has driven us to deliver significant societal and economic benefits to not just the Kingdom, but also to a vast number of communities, economies, and countries that rely on the vital and reliable energy that we supply. We are one of the most profitable companies in the world, as well as amongst the top five global companies by market capitalization.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Analyst to join our Upstream Development function. This position requires bringing insights from upstream/midstream markets, including, but not limited to, LNG, gas processing, storage and distribution. Your primary role is to conduct M&A transactions throughout the investment lifecycle through supporting, evaluating and executing the acquisitions and divestments identified by the business groups and/or the investment teams. Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal and external assessments to reveal emerging trends that would present future business challenges to overcome and/or new business opportunities to explore.
  • Perform initial sanity checks on documentation packages ensuring all activities are captured, accurately reviewed and processed in a timely fashion.
  • Update documentation and processing status in the inventory database as per clearly defined processes.
  • Deal with Company requests concerning different changes on transactions.
  • Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Execute assigned tasks ensuring that the expected deliverables are submitted within the defined timelines and are as per the quality requirements.
  • Assist in the due diligence activities in accordance with established methodologies and approaches as per the due diligence checklist.
  • Assist in the development of reports and presentations pertaining to the investment opportunities, in order to evaluate the risk/return parameters of the acquisition, and to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Keep up-to-date with market developments to develop a basic understanding of various transaction-related products and principles.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of strategic relationships with key external stakeholders to facilitate M&A matters.

As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Bachelor degree in Business and Management or Engineering related field.
  • Minimum 12 years professional and relevant work experience.
  • Must have 2 years of conducting external audits, or other financial or tax due diligence experience.
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and/or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) highly preferred.
  • Sound understanding of financial analysis of companies and valuation methodologies, commercial principles of a transaction and different types of transactions.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Experience with risks reporting and risks dashboard.
  • Understanding of Portfolio management principles.
