We’re working with a growing specialist music business that supports record labels, artists and creative companies. They’re looking to hire a Senior Accountant as the business continues to grow.
This is a fully remote role with real ownership of clients and plenty of variety. It would suit someone coming from practice who enjoys being hands on, dealing directly with clients and working in a smaller team where your input genuinely matters.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing and filing year end accounts for SME clients
- Preparing personal tax returns for self employed individuals
- Acting as the main point of contact with HMRC
- Reviewing VAT returns before submission
- Processing payrolls
- Onboarding new clients and managing QuickBooks migrations
- Supporting MTD for Income Tax and AML processes
- Helping junior team members with queries
What they’re looking for
- Practice experience in a similar role
- ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
- Good knowledge of UK GAAP and UK tax
- Comfortable speaking with clients and managing deadlines
- Experience with TaxCalc or similar software
- Music industry experience
Fully remote, UK based, with a flexible start date (March preferred), and clear scope to progress as the business grows.
