Our client, a leading publishing company, is seeking a meticulous and highly organised Royalty Migration Analyst to join their team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment, ensuring the accurate processing of royalties while providing excellent support to authors and agents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy of royalty rules, advances, cumulative sales, opening balances, and retentions during the migration process.
- Discrepancy Analysis: Identify and resolve discrepancies in royalty calculations and understand the root cause.
- Data Cleansing: Address any data cleansing issues, whether in live systems or imports.
- Functional Testing: Support end-to-end testing of the migration process.
- Project Support: Work alongside the Royalty Migration Manager and project team to ensure successful migration.
- Reporting: Communicate data accuracy processes and controls to senior managers.
Strong numeracy and a passion for working with complex calculations. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines. Experience in royalties, especially within trade or academic publishing. Familiarity with royalty systems such as Biblio and Vista KEA. Experience with data processing tools like Microsoft Excel and Power Query. Knowledge of author contracts and understanding of withholding tax and VAT rules.
Additional Benefits:
- Hybrid Working: 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home (or fully office-based if preferred).
