We’re working with a London-based firm that supports musicians, bands, artists and creative businesses with their accounts and tax affairs. They’re looking for a Music Accountant to join their Music Accounts team and build a career behind the scenes of the entertainment industry.
The role
You’ll be part of a collaborative team preparing accounts and tax work for a varied client portfolio, reporting directly to a Manager and owning work from start to finish.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies
- Corporation tax and personal tax computations and returns
- Liaising with internal teams to gather information and flag tax or compliance points
- Managing deadlines and ad hoc work as required
About you
- 2–3+ years’ experience in an accountancy practice
- Studying towards ACA or ACCA (part-qualified); strong AAT candidates considered
- Experience preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Comfortable working independently and keen to develop technically
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, personal tax and corporation tax preferred
