Field Service Engineer – CNC Machinery | UK-Wide Travel Due to continued success and an imminent expansion our client, a leading provider of advanced steel processing solutions, is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their UK Service team. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a customer-facing environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges on-site. The Role: As Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of high-performance CNC machinery across the UK. You’ll deliver exceptional service to commercial clients, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and efficiently while identifying opportunities for improvement and optimisation. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out field installations, preventative maintenance, health checks, and repairs on CNC steel processing equipment * Liaise with clients ahead of site visits and provide clear updates on completed and outstanding work * Diagnose faults and implement timely solutions to minimise downtime * Identify opportunities for spare parts, service contracts, and minor repairs, supporting commercial proposals * Input accurate data into the service management system and ensure client sign-off * Report health & safety concerns and maintain compliance with company policies * Deliver operator training and technical support where required * Collaborate with colleagues to improve team performance and service efficiency * Attend service meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience in field service engineering, ideally with CNC or industrial machinery * Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and customer service abilities * A proactive mindset with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency * Willingness to travel extensively across the UK with overnight stays
