Location: Home-based (ideally within 1 hour of Huddersfield)

A well-established engineering business is seeking a Service Engineer to join its specialist fan maintenance division. This is a field-based role covering customer sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays. The ideal candidate will have some experience working with industrial fans or rotating machinery and be confident carrying out mechanical servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on industrial fans and associated equipment
* Perform mechanical inspections, fault finding, and component replacement
* Travel to customer sites across the UK, with some overnight stays as required
* Complete service reports and communicate findings clearly to customers and internal teams
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures
* Represent the business professionally and maintain high standards of customer service
About You
* Mechanical engineering xiskglj background with hands-on experience
* Ideally some exposure to fan systems, HVAC, or rotating equipment
* Comfortable working independently and travelling regularly
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Good communication and customer-facing skills
* Full UK driving licence
External training will be provided to cover the specifics of the industry
