Business Development Manager – Automated Gates & Barriers

Home‑based (anywhere between Bristol and Preston / York)
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in the automated gates, barriers, doors, and shutters sector. This is a hands‑on role combining surveying and sales, with responsibility for developing new business and expanding relationships across commercial clients.
The Role
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct site surveys and sales appointments, providing tailored solutions for installations, repairs, and maintenance contracts.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, logging activity in CRM for accurate reporting.
- Deliver monthly sales reports and forecasts, meeting agreed targets.
- Stay up to date with legislation, technology, and competitor activity.
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
About You
- Proven sales experience in automated gates, barriers, doors, or shutters.
- Strong customer focus with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self‑motivated, energetic, and able to work independently.
- Skilled in account development and front‑line sales.
- Organised, detail‑oriented, and committed to meeting targets and deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory.
