Our client manufactures a wide range of specialist machinery that is exported worldwide. There is a vacancy for a level 2 qualified Engineer to join their team. As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and testing electro-mechanical products and components according to engineering specifications, ensuring that they meet quality standards, and are completed on time. The ideal candidate will have experience in assembling electro-mechanical devices, a strong work ethic, a great eye for detail and a desire to work in a close-knit, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical assemblies in accordance with established procedures and engineering drawings.
- Assemble and test electronics, wiring, and other components in accordance with established procedures.
- Inspect and test completed products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with products and assemblies.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and provide feedback on ways to optimise the assembly process.
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment.
Requirements:
- A level 2 qualification in a related Engineering discipline or equivalent in experience.
- Computer literacy.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems with basic mechanical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 20kg.
- Availability to work overtime as requested.
The successful candidate will receive full training and guidance on assembly procedures and product specifications. They will work in the Fitting Shop as a member of the Assembly Team; reporting to the Fitting Shop Team Leader.
