Sauce Communications and our Lifestyle Team have an exciting new role and we’re seeking a Senior Account Director to lead on several high-end luxury client accounts and support in developing New Business plus leading a team. This is a hybrid role, based in Shepherds Bush with a great salary and benefits given we’re keen to expand our team. PR Agency experience is a must as is exposure to luxury clients.
This role will report to the MD of Lifestyle and Brands and will support in driving profitable implementation of strategies and activities agreed with clients – ensuring that programmes and objectives are being met, and that clients are super happy with output and outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
PR Strategy & Agency Business:
- Maintain senior level media relationships to ensure placement in key media and continue to develop a strong network of media contacts to ensure top coverage for our clients.
- Work with Founders & MD to develop a business strategy to drive revenue growth for Sauce, building on the existing portfolio of accounts through both organic growth and new client wins.
- Advocate a ‘client-first’ approach, blending agency-wide talents to deliver against client briefs; and delivering standout campaigns and service.
- Keep abreast and in touch with key industry news, talent, and contacts.
People Leader:
- Inspire the team with knowledge and understanding around the Restaurants, Travel, and Lifestyle space.
- Lead at cross-agency meetings confidently helping to champion communications.
- Understand how to deliver both UK and Global communication strategies that are aligned with digital offerings.
- Propose and deliver game-changing creatives, ideas, and projects for clients; elevating Sauce’s achievements and reputation.
- Bring fresh thinking to clients and the team – inspiring the team to think outside of the box for fresh creative ideas.
Client Relations:
- Demonstrate sector and client business knowledge to deliver strategic client counsel & customer delight.
- Create and implement a strategy to build engagement with clients, to help protect existing revenue; identify growth opportunities; and partner with new clients/projects.
- Keep oversight on all client budgets and financials.
- Attend quarterly client review meetings and maintain senior contact as appropriate per client.
- Ensure timely contract renewal conversations are planned and managed with key clients.
- Represent the company at key external events – to support new business initiatives and to recruit top talent.
- Support the career-pathing and overall team management and line management of Account Directors and other levels where relevant.
- Act as a senior ambassador for Sauce at all times.
- Diarise and lead monthly AD meetings to share figures, business challenges, and opportunities.
- Support Founders and MD with overall team building/best ways of working initiatives.
Business Development:
- Plan and lead proactive new business activity to generate new leads – focusing on a pre-agreed target list of suitably high-profile prospects.
- Assess incoming new business enquiries for suitability (£5k+pm/influential/newsworthy).
- Lead and oversee all pitches and proposal preparation, managing team, research, media audits, creative process, budget planning, etc.
- Support founders and MD to develop a talent retention strategy and review all potential new hires.
Competencies:
- Significant PR Agency experience managing a fast-paced team.
- Exposure to Lifestyle, Restaurants, or Lux Travel Clients.
- Ability to pivot across numerous strategic conversations.
- Communicate in a respectful and thoughtful manner.
