Responsibilities: The Special Education Facilitator serves as the LEA representative and coordinator for all building special education teams – including referral, evaluation, identification, IEP service delivery, and placement – and is responsible for ensuring that students with disabilities receive specially designed instruction to meet their unique needs; conducting or scheduling relevant evaluations required to inform team determinations; providing specially designed instruction directly to students; monitoring and correcting compliance issues; providing the school community with a common and consistent approach to all matters related to special education; and facilitating working relationships among all staff and families to yield measurable growth and achievement for students identified with an educational disability.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required. Master’s Degree in a related field preferred. Five (5) years of experience working as a Special Education Teacher (or similar position). New Hampshire DOE credential/certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification preferred; other New Hampshire DOE credentials and related licenses and certificates related to clinical work with students will be considered. State driver’s license required for district-wide travel.

Compensation and Benefits: Salary and benefits per Timberlane Teachers Association agreement (attached).
