About Saturn

Saturn is a Series A, Y Combinator-backed startup building the AI-native operating system for the £100B+ financial advice industry. We believe advice will always be human, and we build technology that makes human advisers extraordinary. Advisers currently lose up to 70% of their time to administration and compliance. Saturn automates this, giving advisers back their most precious resource so they can focus on what they do best: serving clients. We are compliant by design, trusted by 500+ firms and 3,000+ advisers across the UK. Our engineers are early and founding team members from Cred, Postman, Gojek, and Slice. We are a small team that orbits together, moves with purpose, and holds a high bar.

About the Role

We are laser focused on becoming the indispensable operating system for every advice firm. That means shipping fast, shipping reliably, and constantly raising the quality bar on features that advisers use every single day. As a Product Engineer at Saturn, you sit at the intersection of engineering and product. You own features end-to-end, from suitability report generation to LOA automation to compliance workflows, and you care as much about the user experience as you do about the code behind it. You will work closely with Design, Product, and our embedded domain experts (chartered compliance officers and paraplanners) to build AI-powered experiences that are both technically excellent and deeply useful. Engineering at Saturn moves fast. That pace is something we protect deliberately, because we believe the best engineers do their best work when they can see the impact of what they build.

What You Will Do

  • Build and ship high-quality product features end-to-end in Go, TypeScript and Python, spanning Saturn’s meeting capture, suitability reporting, compliance automation, and CRM surfaces.
  • Integrate LLMs and AI capabilities into user-facing features: prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, structured document generation, and AI-assisted adviser workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and domain experts to translate complex regulatory and adviser workflows into elegant, fast, reliable software.
  • Take full ownership of features from scoping through to delivery, estimating effort, identifying risks, and shipping to deadline.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute actively to code and design review cycles.
  • You are close to the product, close to the user, and close to the decision; your instincts shape what Saturn becomes.
  • Help shape product direction; you are close to the work and your perspective on what to build next matters.
  • Uphold our principle of being compliant by design: every feature you ship must meet the bar of the UK’s principles-based regulatory environment.

What You Will Need

  • 3–4 years of experience in product or full-stack engineering, ideally at a fast-paced, product-led company.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Go and/or TypeScript in production environments.
  • Experience building AI-powered product features, LLM integration, prompt engineering, or delivering AI outputs in a user-facing context.
  • Ability to write maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code across backend and frontend services.
  • Strong product instincts; you think about the adviser experience, not just the technical implementation.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and non-technical domain experts.
  • Clear communicator who can articulate technical trade-offs and move fast without breaking things that matter.
  • Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and is energised by ambiguity and pace.
  • Prior fintech, regtech, or regulated industry experience or SaaS is a strong plus but not required.

Our Values

We care deeply about the culture we build. We hire people who are obsessed with doing great work, who seek truth over comfort, who earn trust rather than assume it, and who succeed and fail as one team.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary benchmarked to your experience and the London market.
  • Equity / stock options, a genuine stake in Saturn’s success.
  • On-site in our London office.
  • Work on real, hard AI problems at the intersection of fintech, regulation, and LLMs.
  • High ownership and fast feedback loops; your work ships and matters from day one.
  • A tight-knit, ambitious team that cares deeply about craft, product quality, and each other.
